    Media Composer will not start

    I just recently installed MC6 to my desktop and I’m getting an error message saying

    “Exception: AMPI subsystem error, ErrorMessage:DSM future error from server eDSMError_Exception: Access violation occurred, unable to read location: 0x17E61F10, DSMManager::InitializeDSM in DSMManager.cpp: 342,
    AMPIMainComponentRep::Initialize InitializeDSM Failed in AMPIMain.cpp: 81,
    AMPIMainComponent::Initialize mRep->Initialize in MPIMain.cpp: 159,
    AMPIMainComponent::Initialize in AMPIMain.cpp: 163”

    I’ve already tried all the solutions in article en377091, with no luck.

    Please help!

    I’ve even updated quicktime and my computer specs are in line as well.

    Hi Faran,
    I have a similar problem installing new MC 7.03. Were you able to fix the problem? If yes, then how?
