Media Composer Transition issue
Greetings. Im returning to AVID after many years on other platforms and need some help. I have sequence with graphic background on track 1 and some student speakers reduced in size using the Picture in Picture effect on track 2. I want to dip to white in between the students speakers but when I apply the dip to color transition using the quick transition dialog the playback dips the entire video to white. I just want the track 2 video to dip not the track 1 background. Thanks for any suggestions. Jeff
I’m running AVID MC 2021.3 (software only) on a 2020 iMac 5k.

You will need to NEST the V2 layer and apply the fade to white in the nested track and re-apply the pic in pic on the V2 track above the nest. Look up Nesting tracks in the help.
