We are working with two media composers attached to ISIS. Also attached to the system is an EVS system which transfers in media via Avid Transfer Manager. They are the new HD DNX Nitrises running MC vers 3.05. Every so often the MCs initialize a scan of the entire media database, this usually takes 10-12 minutes each time. This in itself is annoying and we are trying to figure out why this happens. The more critical issue is that everytime this scan happens, media on the ISIS that contains an alpha signal is quarantined and taken offline. This can be either titles made within the Avid Title Tool, or graphics imported from Photoshop. We can store the same graphics on local storage for each MC and the material stays online. Anyone else see a similar issue?

ISIS seems to hold it’s own buggage. MC software scans on it’s own upon launch and close. It’ll quarenteen files upon command should any errors pop up. ISIS apparently sees certain precomputes as currupt files.
