Media Composer software only: Can I import HD?
I’m upgrading my home system to Media Composer 4, just the software no BOB. I know you can’t capture HD footage because the lack of an SDI input. Can I import Sony EX HD footage?
Running a 2.6 ghz dual core MacBook Pro. Media will probably live on a G tech firewire 800 drive though I’ll probably buy an eSata to handle the data rate.

Jason, yup. You’re good to go.
I’ve use this same set-up for many file based projects, incl XDCam discs, P2.
