Media Composer PC specs for new system?
I’m going to build a new PC system.
Currently using MC 8.4. I’ll be editing 4k and doing After Effects work as well.
It’s been about 8 years since I built one. What would be a good motherboard for @ $200.00. What would be a good GPU? Does MC utilize the GPU like Premiere and Resolve do?

I’d stick with an off the shelf system. HP Z840
The HP systems are real work horses.
No MC makes poor use of GPU. I have a K2000 card and thats more than enough for my needs.Pat Horridge
