I’ve been working on a project for over a week in MC 5.5 (software version, no hardware), and just last night was suddenly and unexpectedly hit with an error message that read: “Exception: A serious error has occurred! It is recommended that you immediately save your work and restart the system.”

Restarting didn’t work (it still doesn’t work this morning), nor did creating an new project and opening the bin I needed into it.

    Any suggestions much appreciated, thanks.

Found the problem. Turns out it was having trouble with four linked AMA files (short titles) which was causing the whole sequence AND the bin AND the project to become unusable!

Removing the titles from the timeline and importing them instead of linking to them solved the issue. Annoying to discover that AMA can be flaky like this, and am only glad that in this case the fix was easily accomplished.
