  Media Composer and Windows

  I have never used the Windows OS for MC but find myself needing to set up a version on Windows 10. I know Avid is very finicky about qualified versions of OS but from my understanding there is no way to turn off auto-update on Windows. Is this a major problem with this platform.

  Any other information regarding pitfalls of switching from Mac to Windows would be appreciated.
