Hi, I am trying to find out if the Academic Versions of MC has the same video/graphic quality as the professional versions. My research can’t find anything that says it has a lower quality, but I am having some problems so wanted to double check.

    Thanks!

Media Composer Academic is identical in every single way to the non-academic license, except that it says “Academic” or “Educational” on the splash screen when it starts (I can’t remember which, but it’s something like that). It also doesn’t come with the 3rd party pack, but you can buy that for about $200 at places like Videoguys.com.

Also, I believe the license states that you won’t use the Academic license for paid work – it for school use and training. But as far as functionality goes, it’s the exact same.
