Media Composer 6 and Color Precision
Hello,
Please does Media Composer 6 support 32-bit float color precision rendering?
I haven’t found this information anywhere. Also I haven’t found the user manual
for download – the fist thing I’m looking for when interested in a product …
(AVID should consider that!)I’m curious, because FCP-X renders everything in 32bit-float RGB now;
and every filter and effect does actually support it – i simply like that!In other NLEs I found an inconsistency of color precision. Even if the
the maximum color precision is turned on, then there are still filters and effects
that are 8-bit only and are corrupting the whole FX stack.My specific questions are:
– Do I need to switch Maximum Quality / maximum color precision “On”
or does MC always render at maximum color precision and quality– What is the maximum color precision MC does?
bit-deph, YCbCR or RGB?– Is every filter and effect suited for maximum color precision?
Thank You in prior!
Best regards,
Bernhard
