    Hi,

I am used to FInal Cut PRo and am quite new to Premiere.

I am wondering about the media cache. Currently, I have it set to “Same as Project” Folder.

But would it not be better to set it to a separate folder so that multiple projects can access it at the same time? Am I correct in assuming that when it is set up to “Same as Project” Folder, that files are conformed more than once?

    Thanks,
    Curtis

It depends on the version of Premiere Pro. Version 2.0 no longer conforms much of the audio, and when it does it can share between projects. Earlier versions couldn’t share, so it really doesn’t matter.

Me? I use a common area for all capturing and scratch locations. But to be honest, I still delete most of the cache files before I move on to the next project anyway.
