media 100 trial set up
Posted by Elimelech Mor on November 9, 2009 at 8:22 amHi,
when I try to open the trial version
I got this massage:
Could not create the main player
because a program error of type –
19030 occurred.
Anyone have the solution?
Thanks

November 9, 2009 at 10:56 amWhich version of the trial are you using? Which OS? Which QuickTime version? What kind of hardware? Any I/O hardware in the system (Aja, Matrox, BlackMagic)?

November 9, 2009 at 1:01 pmWhat slot is the card in?
Is this is a “clean” install of M100 or did you have something else running in there prior?
What software version from Black Magic are you running? Should be v7.3.2.
What vintage is your HD Extreme card? BMD has a history of reving their cards often, so it’s possible you’re using one that’s just a little bit older than those we’ve tested with thus far.
The other thing that catches my eye is the OS. Is there a reason you’re staying at 10.5.5? If not, you may want to try updating to 10.5.8 (and whatever Software Update offers).

November 9, 2009 at 6:23 pmGreat news!
Post back after you’ve had some time with the system up and running to let us know how the config is working out for you.
Of course I know it works well (we’ve been testing it for months) But lot of people are interested to hear first-hand reports of Blackmagic with Media 100.
