    Hi all,

I am new to creative cow, my name is Sarah, I am an editor, I have been working freelance since finishing my studies, and I have just started a small business in film editing.

I have a new client wanting an acting showreel done. Along with the media he is giving me he said he has an apple media 100 file of his last showreel (2003).

I am using FCP 6.0.2 and I have never used apple media 100.

Is there a workflow I can use to work with this file?

    Any help would be great!

    Thanks,

    Sarah

Question is what this file really is. Most likely a Quicktime file in the Media100i codec. You could download the codec from the support section of the Media100 website and try to open it in Quicktime player. If this works you should be able to use it inside FCP, but most likely you need to apply a Levels filter to it to increase the contrast, since Media100 works in a different (more professional) colorspace than FCP.
