I could use some advice on choosing a new editing system.

My legacy system, Accom Sphereous, crashes often and doesn’t support HD. After purchasing an appropriate iMac, I’m testing a trial version of Final Cut Pro X and finding it difficult to use.

Is the Media 100 easier? And is there a good supply of training available?

    Thanks,
    Bob

It’s by far the easiest system to learn, IMHO. Download the free trial from Media 100’s website. There are tutorials there to help get you started.

Media 100 has saved my life! After editing film for years I had to convert to digital and was computer illiterate. A friend suggested Media 100 to me and I’ve never regretted it. Easy to use, very stable, does all most editors would require and is constantly up dating to keep abreast of modern developments such as tapeless workflow and the new high bit rate cameras.

You may want to get some personal ‘hands on tuition’ which can be arranged with a re seller of Media 100 and I suggest that you do this rather than buy on line but many here will not support this suggestion I’m sure.
