Media 100 and El Capitan

What’s the specific problem you’ve encountered…?

I’m about to try installing on El Capitan myself in the next few hours…! ^_^ Perhaps I’ll find out first hand in a moment, ^_^….

Do’nt install El Capitan.
Media 100 and Boris FX/Red are not compatible.
My Mac Pro refuse the installationfor that reason

Actually Media 100 Suite 2.1.6 is not *tested* with El Capitan. I am running it on a test system right now, so at least it should install correctly. What kind of errors/messages do you get when trying to install?

I initially upgraded my system from Yosemite to El Capitan with Media 100 already installed, so I was not sure how the installer would behave. I just tested the installation under El Capitan, and also got an error message. Let´s see what the reason is.

I went back to Yosemite and wait till the problems are solved by Media 10/Boris.

While Media 100 has not yet been approved for El Capitan, they have at least now made an El Capitan compatible installer, to solve the issue you were having, Cornelis.

I gather you may have been involved with that Floh (along with staff at Boris), in which case, many thanks!

Yeah, we worked a little bit on the installer issues. This is related to the new system protection in El Capitan (“rootless”)
