    This is a huge thing for me as I have just started making all of my clothing patterns in illustrator.

    I need to know how to measure the length of a curved line. I don’t want to know the distance between the two points, I need to know the length of the line…

    There are a bunch of plugins that will do this for you.

    I had been searching google with “curved path measurement” for ages and hadn’t come up with anything but after i searched illustrator path length I found a great free plugin called Path Area by Telegraphics and it works great 😀

    1. Window > Document Info
    2. Open the palette menu
    3. Check “Selection” and “Objects”
    4. Select your path
    5. Read the length of the path

    I am trying to utilize PathLength for illustrator CS4 and I am having trouble seeing how to use it. Any hints?
