Hi – I’ve been using ME to encode proxies for Premiere for several years. Newer versions from 2019 have not been importing MXF clips with their original names, as it always has. Here’s what I’m used to, using ME 2019 (version 13). I select a clip in Finder to import, and the clip, with the original name, appears in the queue. Adding multiple clips brings them in with correct, consecutively numbered names, and the proxies will have the same names.

But with ME2020 and 2021, I’ll select an individual clip as always and import it, but it imports as the name of the PARENT folder, not the clip name. And importing multiple clips names ALL of them the name of the Parent folder (the proxies will be named CLIPS001_1, _2, etc.). Is there a setting I’m missing?

These screenshots, of what selected clips look like in ME2019 – where the clip names in Finder match those in ME – did not import in my original post.
