I continue to get an error I’ve never seen before and doesn’t show up on Google searches. It says

Exception: std::exception, what:[MainThread] Threads::SendThreadMessage: No running thread to receive message Waveform Cache Thread (null)

I’m just looking on any information on what this may mean.

It’s been coming up ever since I made an AutoSequence that was very long (about 12 hours in length). But I’ve made sequences this long before and never had such an issue. The error pops up periodically even after I’ve closed the seemingly problematic sequence.

Most annoyingly, I cannot quit out of Avid. The error pops up when I try to quit and the program will not close. This even happens if I close all bins and all sequences before trying to quit.

    Recommendations?

Most likely related to the new waveform caching in v7. I am trying to remember how to flush the cache… stay tuned.

Any luck getting this fixed? I just ran into this today, and even noticed I couldn’t quit after you mentioned it.

Have you tried deleting the WaveformCache Folder located inside de MEdia COmposer Project folder?

    That may help.

I’ve got this one too – did deleting the waveform cache folder work for anyone?

Hey, I deleted the waveform cache and the AVS settings in my project folder: hope this is just some normal housekeeping!
