I exported 6 reels of footage that is edited in Media composer 6 in Windows 7.
Each footage plays about 19 minutes and weighs about 15 GB. So I converted it using Emicsoft video converter with the settings of 720*576 frame size with 24 frame rate per second, which was all done in in Windows 7. When I opened the converted files in I Mac its shows a different resolution like 1024*576 and 23 fps. I tried other video converters like MPEG streamclip and Xilisoft and those didnt work too. Finally I converted them in Adobe premiere pro CS6 with the above mentioned settings. The converted video looked fine when I opened them in Imac, but when I imported it to Pro tools(I mac), the softwares showed that its a corrupted file and cannot be opened.
So is there a way to open the MC6 video files (Windows 7) in Pro tools (I mac) so that I can finalize my dubbing.

Why not export as H.264 directly from Avid?

Have you tried AAF with embedded video media?

Actually I can do the export in the required format in MC6 but it will take more time for a single 19 minute video itself. Thats why I had to go for time saving stuffs like exporting it in save as source format and then converting them in video converter.

Here’s how to do it faster than real time…as H.264. Low res, only for review…but it works for everyone I show it to.
