mc6 and a new computer
Will mc6 work with today´s processors and video cards? i show my provider a list of the computers and characteristics that appear in the Avid official site for mc6, he tells me that all those models are discontinued, i believe that if he uses more recent models of those processors and video cards it has to work, am i wrong?
Any opinion will be much appreciated.

The issue isn’t the hardware, it’s the operating system. Avid MC 6 won’t work with MacOS 10.10 nor 10.11…the last two versions out. And new Macs only ship with either 10.10 or 10.11.
It also isn’t rated for Windows 10…but some PCs allow for older OS versions. I’m not an expert on PCs, only the mac side
