#1 – don’t shoot 1080p60 (1080p at 60fps) with that camera if you want to edit the footage. No NLE supports that format. I see you are shooting 60i…but I wanted to point this out.

Because it records footage in 1080/60p (1080p 60fps) the TM700 is outside the AVCHD spec, it cannot be log and transferred into FCP…FCP does not support that format (nor do a few other NLEs). It must be converted into ProRes or AIC (Apple Intermediate) with a utility such as ClipWrap or Toast 10, and then imported into FCP.

However, do not shoot 60p and 60i to the same card or internally. You cannot shoot different formats of any kind on the same SD card, as that renders it unable to be imported by FCP.

Now…the footage should work in both, so the only thing you have to decide now is which system are you most comfortable with? Get the 30-day demo and play around before you buy. If you can edit this project in that time…BONUS.
