Honestly, if you are only doing cuts only you could probably buy the necessary Avid Meriden hardware and software for your computer for next to nothing on eBay. People are practically giving that stuff away and it will work just fine for your needs.

thanks for the quick responses. the meridian is a good idea except i will be using media and a project that was already cut on an MC4. such is life…
