    Hello All-

I’m having a problem opening some old projects in MC3.0. I was cutting using MC2.7 on a Dell Laptop. I then upgraded to MC3.0 running on a MacBook Pro. I have no problem running Avid and starting new projects, however, when I try to open an old project I started on the old computer, the project file is faded and will not open. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try making a new project with the same name as the old one and copy the bins into it at the finder level.

Nailed it Michael, thanks very much. In retrospect, kind of an obvious solution. Thanks again, much appreciated.

You’re welcome, and glad that worked.

Your 2.7 projects should have carried up without issue, but something obviously got messed up. Thankfully Avid’s project creation makes every bin a seperate file so you can recover the import stuff if the project settings get corrupted.
