MC 6, ProRess and older versions.
I don’t have MC6 yet bus was contemplating a workflow issue. If I am in 6 and have ProRess QT files, AMA them and then consolidate to re-wrap into MXF files; can I then take that media and use it on a different machine using 5.5 or earlier?

Nope. ProRes MXF only works with MC6. If you need to take this to an earlier version, you need to transcode to DNxHD.
