MC 6 on Mac Pro 1,1 ?

Can anyone confirm John Pale’s assertion that, although not supported, MC 6 runs fine on Mac Pro 1,1 ?
He adds : “You can’t use DX hardware with this machine, as DX hardware requires 64 bit kernel.”
Does he mean Mojo DX and Nitris DX ?
I am using Mojo DX with MP 1,1 and MC 5.0.3.
Is it MC 6 that makes DX hardware inoperable in 32 bit ?As you can guess, I’m just trying to postpone upgrading my mac pro in the hope that maybe apple will grace us with a new dreamt of edition…

I can confirm that it runs great! I have a Mac 1,1 with 8GB Ram, AJA Kona 3, AMD 5770 Graphics card and Media Composer runs better than Final Cut Pro ever did. Its very responsive. I got an error when I first installed it telling me it would only work on a 64bit kernel, but I haven’t had any issues.

This might just allow me to wait and see if Apple will finally upgrade their Mac Pro…Anyone out there running MC 6 on Mac Pro 1,1 with a Mojo Dx ?
