On MC5, When I mixdown multiple tracks to a single stereo pair, and want to make those two mono tracks, it automatically creates a copy of the timeline, and disables monitoring on those two mono tracks. Is there any way to not have the timeline copy happen, and have the tracks enabled? I do this all the time, and it’s a pain to delete the unwanted copied timeline, and enable those tracks.
    thx as always

    Here you go Brian,

[brian waz] “want to make those two mono tracks”

After mixdown, right-click and choose, Split Track to Mono. One extra step we are not used to – but not a big problem.

[brian waz] “it automatically creates a copy of the timeline”

When in the Audio Mixdown dialog box, deselect “Save Premix Sequence”

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks Ed,
But when I create that split track to mono, it comes up grey (not muted or solo’d) and you can’t hear it until you right click on the mixer to enable the tracks separately.

Right – sorry, two extra steps. Yeah, this is annoying. I don’t know of a workaround.

oh, and the premix, I don’t have it selected and it still creates a copy, but when I split the tracks?
