MC 3.0 and ATI Graphics?? – Mac
Wow. This is a bummer. I’ve been planning to switch to Avid when MC 3.0 is finally released this month. Only to find out that the ATI Radeon HD2400 that is in my 20″ iMac isn’t compatible? And no ATI cards are? And you can’t even add an Nvidia card to an iMac smaller than 24″ (which I DON’T want). Is this all correct? Will MC 3.0 not run on my system? Are my options really:
Buy a 24″ iMac with Nvidia card (too big for my apartment)
Buy a MacPro (too expensive for my budget)
Continue to use and hate Final Cut Pro?God Avid – I want to use you – but you are making this very difficult!

Hey, I’m running an ati radeon x1900, did you ever get any additional information about this? I’ve been thinking about installing avid as well.
