MC 2.7 and BCC4 Lens Flare
Just curious if anyone has seen this… we’re running BCC4 on Media Composer 1.6.6 on Mac OS 10.3.8 for offline cuts. The MC 1.6.6 sequences are taken into MC 2.7 for onlining. All of the BCC4 plugins transfer except for the Lens Flare Adv plugin… those show up blank as unrecognized plugins in the timeline. The Lens Flare Adv plugin exists in the Effect Pallete of the MC 2.7 system and works when applied to any clip, but the ones that are already applied and transferred over from the MC 1.6.6 come up as unrecognized. FYI, the MC 1.6.6 plugins transferred over with no problems when brought into a MC 1.8.5 system running Mac OS 10.4.6 in the recent past. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Armen,
Have you contacted our support department apropos this problem? It’s a mystery to me as to why this single effect would not transfer correctly but I’m sure that support would be able to offer some advise or assistance in make it operate as expected on projects that we transferred as you described. You might want to shoot off an email to support@borisfx.com to see if they can offer any insight into the issue.
