    Hi,
My 15″ 1.8GHz 1GbRAM MBP turns the screen off without any warning.
There seems to be no pattern to it.
Suddenly the screen goes black – if pointed to the light I can still see the mouse and all the windows and programmes running.
Mouse clicks don’t do anything, pressing keys does nothing. At the same time the little light on the front is off.
The only way to get the screen to light up again is to close the lid, open it, close it AGAIN, open and everything is fine again – for a while…

Is it a power saver gone bonkers?

… the battery is charged, F2’ing (increase brightness) doesn’t work either.
