When I run Motion (3.0.2)- working 1080i50 and import a large multilayer (4) photoshop file the display of my MBP (2.4Ghz, 4MB 8600GT grahics card) corrupts very quickly.

Not only within the application but the whole of the display making the machine unuseable until a reboot.

I guess it’s motion and the OS sharing (not very well!) the video ram.

Is it possible I’ve got a duf display card here? Or perhaps there’s a way of disabling the graphics card support for Motion so that it only software renders?

It only seems to become a problem with big psd files also anything over 4kx4k isn’t handled by the 8600, but I’m experiencing this with 3kx2k files.

I’ve run Apple’s hardware test a number of times and it reports no errors.

    Anyone else having similar problems?

    Thanks Alan

I’ve posted this on the Motion forum – but no takers!
