MBE – 10bit easy setup – field dominance problem
Hi.
I captured over 4 hours of footage via SDI form DigiBeta(PAL) deck. I decided to capture using 10bit easy setup. Everything looks great but…
– I noticed that field dominance is set to Upper…why ? (I`m working in PAL system)
Here`s my problem. When I`m editing in 10bit sequence image is great but after exporting to DV PAL file I have problems with slow-mo – it looks like wrong field order – only on slow-mo footage…also using compressor for example mpeg file looks the same…..
Any ideas what`s wrong ?

just for the record, 10bit PAL is upper, PAL DV is lower

Uncompressed 10bits is upper field first.
The DV is lower… That’s why.You have to export to DV files in clicking the “recompress” option. You will have then correct DV files.

Just about every format EXCEPT DV is upper fields first.
