  MB pro Image expands on pause

  I’m editing in FCP using MB pro in HD- downconverting to an SD NTSC monitor. When I playback the sequence it plays fine in letterbox. When I pause the timeline the image jumps to the full HD image filling the SD monitor. This makes it hard for clients to see graphics as I place them. I don’t have a HD monitor yet but the programs are all for SD broadcast. Has anyone run into this and is there something I am missing is set-up?
