April 29, 2005 at 2:31 amI too have this problem… not sure what to do about it either but I do know Maya’s scene size is quite a bit smaller than Cinema 4D as well. When i import a model from C4D its gigantic in Maya.

April 29, 2005 at 6:06 amC4D uses meters and Maya defaults to centimeters (i think). Like in Maya if you put in a Cube at Pos.X -1, it moves over a good bit (one grid position). In C4D -1 moves it almost imperceptably. It really does seem to be 100 times as fine of movements. Which would make sense. If a cube is 100 units in C4D then it is pretty small, but in Maya would be HUGE (100 grid spaces).
So I haven’t tried it, but change Mayas default unit and see if it changes the scale once imported to AE. You may find a scale that works well.
