Maya 2 AE advanced Z-Depth
i’m about to begin a zdepth test to help better integrate maya and ae cameras.. i’m thinking of using a zdepth grayscale pass with a threshold effect applied to control the proper matting of ae objects in 3d space. I also plan on developing an expression to automatically calculate the proper threshold settings based on the location in 3d space – i’m sure i’m not the first one to think of this, so if anyone has any links to someone who is further along, that would be a great help
