  • “Max Headroom” Stutter after render, cs4, windows 7

After rendering i am getting a “max headroom” effect in the video of my mpeg-2 export. The source footage is avchd, the sequence is in avchd. Exporting to mpeg-2 in 1080p. I am using dynamic link to do some compositing with keylight and also color correction in AE. I am running cs4 on windows 7 pro 64 bit. video card is ati radeon 4890. cpu is amd phenom II 3.2 ghz quad core. 8 gigs of ram.

the “max headroom” stutters happen in the exact same places in two different renders that i’ve done.

also, i had an earlier project that only used premiere (not ae) and had the same kind of stutter but only in one frame.

audio is not affected by the stutter, it is clean

Incidentally, I also get a weird graphic artifact in ae where my cursor is, it is like a big square made up of little black lines rather than a cursor. functional but awkward.

any insight into these problems would be appreciated

    thanks

I had the exact same problem. Downloading and installing all Adobe updates seems to have fixed it for me.
