Max cable length for IO la
What is the max firewire length from our G5 to the IO la? The equipment will be in a different room, which is just on the other side of a wall from the G5. It will be at max 10′-12′. Will this be a problem?

The longest FW cable you can use with the Io is about 15 feet. You can extend the cable an additional 15 feet by adding either a FW hub or repeater. The maximum number of repeaters/hubs are 14.
