mattes in Premiere CC 2014.1
Hi – can anyone help with track mattes and garbage mattes? Can’t get them to work! Thinking it must be me, I downloaded the Adobe files and followed the tutorial from here:

So, as in the demo, I apply the mosaic effect, then apply the built-in matte. I then track a face in a street scene, as per demo, but even though still frames are fine, the video does not play back, just black. Tried to force render but again the playback is just a black screen….
Been having trouble getting garbage mattes to work as well, can cut out shapes, but no feathering, no expansion, and it doesn’t render or playback.

Ah! Sorry – worked it out. Apparently mattes don’t show up on my system if the programme monitor window is at 1/4 resolution. Changing to half or full resolution fixed this for me!
