  • Matte Key locks video underneath for undesired effect…

That is the best subject I could come up with to describe the problem I am having…

I am using a Media Composer NT v.11

and as best as I can figure…here’s my problem:

I have a 2 title keys — single white line (white line used as a border on left and right & top and bottom) the video is cropped to the edges of the white lines…creates a horizontal or vertical box with white borders….Submastered onto video track1

I create a similar submaster with different video, same effect with white lines though. Place it on top of other clip on video track2

Any effect I do that repositions the video on the upper track grabs whatever video is underneath it and does same move…ie: PIP/3D warp/resize on video 2 track…move slow right to left, reproduces the whole frame, and you see behind the entire frame box the video on track1. If I just do an effect on video1 on the bottom, there is no adverse effect on my timeline.

As best as I can figure, the white lines I created are Matte Keys…and they are for some reason locking to the video underneath them. I have put blank video layers between the two, and can’t seem to remedy the problem.

    Any help?

    Jason
