Matrox RT.X2 substitute
Our department just purchased a Dell Precision WorkStation T7400 and CS3 Master Collection. Our previous setup was a Dell Precision WorkStation, running Adobe Production Studio with a Matrox RT.X10 installed. An external monitor was connected to the RT.X10 for playback preview. After purchasing the new workstation and CS3, I noticed that we would have to upgrade the Matrox adapter as well. Our dept does very little video work and the work is near the beginner level. With that in mind, would there be less expensive adapter we could purchase allowing a connection the the preview monitor? The Matrox RT.X2 SD is just to expensive for the amount of video we produce. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
