Matrox Max versus a cluster
Has anyone done any benchmark testing comparing the Matrox Max hardware compression against a 12 core running is a cluster?

Hey Jason….
I realize your question is 12-core specific but I’m running MXO2 Rack w/ MAX on a 8-core and it is considerably faster than a cluster. I actually didn’t use the MAX feature for a while because I had presets where I liked them. Just today a 1/2 hour DVCPROHD show took ~ 7 minutes to get to h264. Not exactly ‘benchmark’ but it is noticeably faster on my machine.
