    Hello folks,
This is probably one of the most asked questions year by year, but still there’s no definate answer.
People have different preferances and so on, but is there somewhere fair we can sattle for both 2D and 3D?
Price would be, somewhere under $500. of course both apps should be previewed on a TV monitor.

I’d like to hear from you all and start narrowing down the list, so I can make my purchase at the end of this month. Hopefully.

    Thanks.

Well, you forgot to actually ask the question… but I’m assuming you need output of the video preview to a video monitor…

I’ve used a Matrox Parhelia for a while, which worked very well. Great image quality. But with AE 7.0 you really want a faster OpenGL 2.0 capable card, such as the nVidia 6800GT or up. If you do a lot of 3D work, you’ll be happier with on of those than with the Parhelia.

So I’d recommend getting a Decklink card with analog outputs, such as Decklink Pro or SP – and get one of the above mentioned display cards.
