    Hello 🙂

I’ve read the wonderful book of steve wright “Digital compositing for film and video” and now what to do some of his tutorials. BUT:

I cannot find something like a “math node” in AE, that lets me do all what he’s describing.
There is that “channel/calculations” in AE but how to “divide” channels with that. Is there something, that simply lets me type the operations ? Like “RedChannel – BlueChannel” ? Is it something for expressions ?

    Thanks for every help!

I think you are looking for the equivelent of Shake’s ‘colorX’ node. Which basically let’s you do whatever math expression you wish on the channels. As far as plug-ins I think the closest thing is using Channel>Arithmetic, but it only gives you one simple option.

I’d look into expressions as they may be the only way you will get most control out of the channels.
