Material on Loft NURB appears with lines

I have a loft NURB going between 2 splines, to create a ribbon.I imported a long PNG image to work as the ribbon’s material.
However, when rendered the image appears with lines going through it.
Any idea what is causing this ? The image is mapped using UVW.

not seeing it here but I don’t have the image you are using in the Specular so perhaps the problem is there
