I need to match text bullet points to narration using ProType Titler. I can list all the bullet points in one single event so as not to take up separate layers for each bullet point. I can see how to add key points to have each bullet point fade in but unlike the “Titles & Text” plugin, the cursor in the timeline does not match the cursor in the ProType Titler. And… the time code in the editor does not match the timeline time code… it always starts at zero. Is there a way to put the cursor on the timeline at the exact points you want each bullet point to appear and easily set key points? Otherwise, it seems like you’d have to do some math to figure where to put the key frames in the event editor.

ProType Titler is useless for this sort of thing. I would stop wasting your time on it if I were you. I have complained to Sony about this. The ProType Titler timeline bears no resemblance to the Vegas Pro timeline making it only good for doing timing that does not have anything to do with your video. This is the wrong tool for this job (although I can’t say what the right tool is because Vegas Pro has so many failed titlers) I’ve tried to time it to narration like this in the past and just given up in the end.

You might try creating a title for each animated bullet and then place them on multiple tracks top of each other across the timeline to have them enter at the points needed. That’s about as good as it gets.
