    Hello,

A friend of mine wants me to work as a second camera man on a shoot this weekend. He uses a JVC 110u, and I use a Sony PMW-EX1. He can shoot 720 30p in HDV, and I can shoot 720 30p at “high quality” in XDCAM. I cut with Premiere Pro 2.0. Because of its current inability to edit XDCAM files natively, I usually use the Blackmagic Multibridge Pro to capture over the SDI out on the EX1.

My main question is this. Can I re-export the 720 30p footage from Premiere Pro and compress it to “HDV”? What settings in Premiere Pro 2.0 would I need to use to do this?

If you are using the Multi-bridge why don’t you use that to work in native avi versions of the clips?
You want have the extreme softening with added effects as you would with mpeg2 based HDV format.
