    Hi all,
Have just come over from FCP7 to PP5.5 on the mac and need a little help. I use XDCAM EX footage and when wanting to master a sequence in the same format it was edited in i.e. ‘Match Sequence Settings’ it only gives me the option to render an mpeg file, not a .mov. I can’t then play that file in finder to check it. Is it possible to make .movs in this way, rather than choosing a different codec, which has resulted in strange things happening…? For example, a simple fade up of a title leaves the title blue until it has completely faded up – therefore this rendered file is of course useless.

Can anybody help please, I just want to archive files in the same settings I shot them in. For my purposes, pro-res files are just too large. In FCP you just went File – Export- Use Current settings… and away you went. Is there an equivalent in PP5.5?

    Thanks in advance,
    Nik Read

    Do you have encore?
You can open up your PP sequence in encore.
    Render out your master.
