Match Move when losing tracker
I know this has been asked, but I don’t know if it was ever answered:
I have 2 shots:
-a handheld shot where I’m replacing a sign. I’m able to do a successful match move UNTIL:
the shot zooms in past the track points.-a second handheld of a green screen tv w/image keyed. Again, successful until the camera pans past the track points.
Suggestions/solutions? Is Mocha the only answer?

Motion supplemental Documentation – page 91
I haven’t tried Mocha, so it might be easier with it, but as far the tracker in Motion goes, you have to fiddle a little but all the tools are build into the software to tackle this problem.

In regards to page 91, make sure to check the offset track button (Step 2). It’s key to making this happen. The first time I did it somehow I missed that step. Best of Luck.

Thanks Stephen. Much better luck, but still not a great/acceptable result. The shot is a shaky camera with a fast zoom in, so it is difficult. Still, I’ll give it another whirl as well as try on a different scene.
Will try to report back.
