The match frame in my head and the one in the FCP manual are different, so maybe someone can help me out.
I have a four camera show. The program is layed out on the timeline and now I want to replace shots from the program
with shots from one of the other cameras.
Up until now I have just been using timecode and copying the program TC into the cam1,2,3 or 4 clip to match the frame.
I was hoping the “F” key would do this for me by matching the program frame with the selected cam source frame.
    Any help is appreciated.

To make the match frame button work as you’d like, select all autoselect lights to be turned off (little guys to the right of the locks in the timeline window) except the one on the layer you want to match frame… or make the LOWEST light lit be the track you want to match frame.

    Hi Doug

the match frame ‘F’ will match to the lowest ‘targeted’ video track (or if no video then lowest targeted audio track)
(i’m assuming you haven’t, BUT, if you have FCP 5.0 you should take a moment to review the new multiclip feature)

    cheers
    Andy
