  • Match Frame to Source clip

I searched for this but did not find a good answer.
I have a freeze frame in my time line and I need to match frame to the ORIGINAL clip that contains this frame and NOT the freeze itself.
Is there away to do this?
I promise not to say this is easy in Avid!
    Ops!

    Thanks

    Good day,

You need to double click the freeze frame so it loads in your source window, then use the match frame to find your original source clip.

    Hi
I tried that already and nothing happened.
Did you actually try this and it worked?
Or you think that is what should work?
I know that other applications do it this way!

    I don’t think there’s a way.

    Thanks Wes
I beta tested the last version of your software and I want to thank you again for the opportunity.
Going back to the match frame problem, I think the only way is to use the clip name for the freeze which includes the time code and do it manually!
    Not so good!

Because a freeze frame can be made up of multiple layers composited together there is no way for the application to call up a source file.

    All the best,

    Tom

From what I can remember. when you make a freeze frame th eclip name that appears in the time line or viewer has the timecode ammended to it so if the original clip name is ” My Clip” the frezze frame would be “MyClip 3:05:15:05”

    Hope this helps

Yeah, well all I can say is it’s not an Avid.
There are alot of things that is should do, but doesn’t.
