  Match Frame / Source Window lag when switching

  Hi- has anyone else had this issue with Premiere?

  I am a doc editor. I frequently need to match frame from my sequence to original material in the source window to see how intv bites play out, or scenes progress. When I do this, however, and press “play” in the source monitor there is a 4-5 second lag before it starts playing. Same thing when I switch back to the sequence.

  It was instant in FCP. I do this ALL DAY LONG so the lag is adding up & sucking my will to live.

  All my footage is in ProRes, and I’m on CC2014. My computer is a maxed out 12 core 3.46ghz Mac Pro with 32gb of ram.
