match frame on new project does not work
Dear creative minds
I have a problem on a file project that takes 10 minutes to load, the project is very big and three months old, i think is in some way corrupted, I thought of copying all files and sequences to a new project but if I do so then match frame command does not work.
the new project loads immediately.
Any ideas?

Try exporting the project as XML and then importing that into the new project

Save and quit FCP. Duplicate your porject in the finder and then date it “Project_2009_05_11” or whatever.
Open the original project and delete out some of the old sequences you don’t need.
What else is going on in your project? Lots of multicam stuff?
Give us a summarized rundown of what’s in your project.

Normally a match frame won’t work because you don’t have the clip somewhere in your browser.

I found the answer of my problem, somebody connected an external USB hard drive to the keyboard and therefore everithing was going very slow, but still if I just copy all clips and sequences to another project then FCP is unable to recognize the original master with match frame…
